Your Data and Daily Doubloons®

At Daily Doubloons®, protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to Daily Doubloons®, a mobile application developed by Worldwide Activity, Inc., and governs data collection, use, and disclosure practices.
By using the Daily Doubloons® application, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.


Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information when you use the Daily Doubloons® app:

• First and Last Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• GPS Live Location (see “Location Data Use” below)
• Age
• Gender (optional)

Data is collected either directly from the user (e.g., during registration or gameplay), or through authorized third-party SDKs used to support core functionality and analytics. We are currently using Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and secure data storage.
All purchases are handled securely by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store billing or credit card information.
Location Data Use

Daily Doubloons® collects your GPS live location only while the app is in use to support core gameplay features. Specifically, your location is used to detect when you are within 15 feet of a hidden treasure. In some cases, if the hunt host has purchased an optional feature, a sound will play to alert you when you are near the treasure. This sound feature is not included in every hunt and is enabled at the discretion of the host. Location data is not collected in the background and is only active while the app is open and in the foreground. Users may disable location access in their device settings at any time. However, doing so will limit certain gameplay features—such as proximity alerts to nearby treasure—but the app will remain otherwise functional.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:
• Deliver core gameplay experiences
• Provide customer support
• Send relevant in-app notifications
• Improve app performance and features
• Comply with legal obligations
• Send optional marketing emails (you may opt out at any time)

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We may share limited data with trusted service providers who help us operate the app, such as analytics tools or cloud storage providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose.
Third-Party SDKs and Data Collection
We may use third-party SDKs (Software Development Kits), such as Firebase and platform-specific services (e.g., Google Play Services on Android or Apple Services on iOS), to support app functionality, analytics, crash reporting, and authentication. These SDKs may process limited data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We ensure these providers are contractually bound to handle data responsibly and securely.
If you participate in a Daily Doubloons® affiliate or promotional program, some information (e.g., username or referral activity) may be shared for the purpose of processing rewards.
We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to legal requests, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
User Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
To request deletion of your data, please email kaystucki@dailydoubloons.com with the subject line “Delete My Data.” Upon verification of your identity, we will delete your data from our records and instruct our service providers to do the same, unless data retention is required for:
• Completing a transaction or service you requested
• Preventing fraud or abuse
• Complying with legal obligations
• Internal use that is reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us.

Purchases and Payment Processing

All purchases made through the Daily Doubloons® app are securely handled through the native app store platform (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect or store your credit card or billing information, as all payment processing is managed directly by the respective store provider.

Children’s Privacy

Daily Doubloons® is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
Third-Party Integrations and Accounts
You may optionally link your Daily Doubloons® account with third-party services (e.g., Google or Apple) to streamline login. These services may share basic account information with us, depending on your privacy settings. You can unlink these accounts at any time in your app settings.

Marketing and Notifications

We may contact you via email or device notifications to provide updates, promotional offers, and hunt invitations.
• To opt out of marketing emails, click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any message.
• To disable push notifications, adjust your device’s app notification settings.

Data Storage and Security

We securely store your data on cloud servers provided by trusted third-party platforms (e.g., Firebase or AWS) using encryption and industry-standard safeguards. We do not store credit card or billing data. Access to stored data is limited to authorized personnel.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app and on our website. If changes materially affect how we use your personal data, we will notify you by email or app alert. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We strive to comply with all relevant data privacy regulations, including the requirements of the Google Play Developer Policy and Data Safety section.
